Cold Climate Gardening Resources You May Not Know About
I was just helping out a gardener who moved from California to upstate NY. (I think she’s over the shock.) It made me realize that not everyone who stops by thinks to look at the top menu bar to see what else is here. So come along and take a tour with me. And just remember that I take suggestions for these pages from my readers, as long as they meet my criteria.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) is a blog category that I’ve singled out in the top menu bar to make it easy to find. If you are new to cold climate gardening, you may find the answer to your question here. If you don’t find the answer, use the contact form to ask me and I’ll see if I can help–and perhaps turn it into a blog post for this section.
Did you know I’ve been blogging here since 2002? My archives are organized by date and by category. You can also click on the tags at the end of every post for more on the tagged subjects.
If you are on Facebook, you can follow Cold Climate Gardening via the Networked Blogs app. When you like the Cold Climate Facebook Page, you get photos and little tidbits of information that didn’t merit a blog post. It’s also another place to ask gardening questions. If you decide to friend me (Kathy Purdy), please send along a little note saying you read my blog. I like to know why people are friending me.
There’s more stuff here that’s not specifically related to cold climates, but are garden-related interests of mine, so I try to offer useful links on them. There’s the Garden Blog Directory, a section on Upstate NY gardening, a section with policies and information related to this site, and a comprehensive Amazon store. All of that can be accessed from the top navigation bar. In addition, on the sidebar you can access Essays that I and others have written, a resource section on Cottage Gardening, a series on the earliest Garden Blog Pioneers, clippings of a general nature, and the collected wisdom of readers who have commented on posts related to the brown marmorated stink bug.
