Amsterdam is well known for its cultural heritage and historical significance. This unique apartment of 400m² across one level is located at the Prinsengracht. The six window wide view is very uncommon in the city centre of Amsterdam. The apartment is located in a building with typical neck gables and was build in the first half of the 18th century. Materials for the skin of the apartment are warm and neutral, herringbone plank bleached oak flooring and walnut doors. One of the many fine details are the doors, they cover from floor to the ceiling. Every room in the apartment has its own bathroom and the master bedroom has a built in sauna and steam cabin.

When To Inspect Your Fire Extinguishers

In addition to installing smoke alarms throughout your home, you may opt to keep a couple of fire extinguishers on hand in case of an emergency.

Yet fire extinguishers, like most other things in your home, need to be inspected regularly to ensure they’re in proper working order. Experts recommend waiting no more than a year to inspect your fire extinguishers, but checking them more often is encouraged. Giant Sweetcorn

Actually, this is probably not giant sweetcorn but more ‘normal’ sweetcorn. But wow, I wish my sweetcorn were this tall. Mine is about half the height of this one I found in Colorado. Sweetcorn really is a warm weather vegetable isn’t it? It loves to be baked in hot, hot sun and in the UK we just can’t offer that. But… I’m still hopeful that my Sweetcorn will give me at least one cob per plant. Anyone got any tips on growing bigger corn (apart from ordering some nice weather that is).
